Why Does Trucker Give It Away?

Trucker is constantly being asked by both fan and foe, "why do you give your music away for free?" They have been accused of buying their fan base and not having faith in their products, but both statements couldn't be any further from the truth. To them their music is an investment and an advertising tool. After all, what better way to get people to hear about Trucker then by getting them to HEAR TRUCKER?

A career in music is Trucker's end goal, not huge houses, lots of bling and 50 cars (per Trucker). That's not to say that they aren't ambitious and wouldn't accept those things if they happened, but in the most cliché way possible, it's really about the music. It's about enjoying getting to play music, making enough money to allow them to focus on the music, and having others get to hear that music. As the Trucker saying goes, "We don't care if we're rich and famous, we just want everyone to have a vague recolection of who we are."

They are staking their futures in a sound belief of Trucker and a hope that their songs fall into the right ears. They are constantly in search of investors and/or contacts within the entertainment industry. So, if you know someone... or know someone who knows someone... or if your mother's nephew's cousin used to be friends with someone that knows someone... please tell them about Trucker. What really matters, at the end of the day, is getting music into peoples hands. And Trucker feels confident they are making that happen.
